tammy faye update
I've admitted on this blog before that I'm a fan of Tammy Faye Bakker Messner. And I don't apologize for the fact. Probably since I reached about 30 years of age I started to love this woman.
Well, good news on the cancer front. The treatment seems to be going well. You can read about it on her website. I'm sure Pamela Anderson is still being a support, something I find wonderful.
Tammy is not one of the clownies. I just want to make that perfectly clear. Actually, now that I think about it, RuPaul might not be either! Can an orthodox Christian woman admit she likes RuPaul too?

hey lisa,
i like tami faye too. i caught her on the surreal life (a raunchy reality show now airing on VH1). while the antics of her ex-porn star housemate, and others, were at times frighteningly hedonistic, she maintained her integrity, propriety, and earned a devoted fan in me. i was awed at her alternative audience. she loves homosexuals and they love her. i think that is the "new kind of christian" we all need to be. i dig rupaul too, i love the scene in "to wong foo..." where he came down mae west style, wearing a confederate flag dress--that'll mess with some people.
anyway, it may be little comfort that i agree, but i do, nonetheless. peace!
